STEM Week

"As Common Core becomes the norm in schools, STEM education should be the glue that binds -- an anchor of integrated curriculum; a vehicle to higher order thinking; a way to assessments that demonstrate students have brought together new content knowledge and skills to arrive at and discuss sound conclusions."

STEM Education's National Moment Next Generation Science Standards, we hope, will raise the bar for schools even higher. But the reality is that most schools and teachers are unprepared.

STEM Week will showcase Hawai‘i-based companies, their technologies and career opportunities and will culminate in a banquet to recognize schools across the state for their efforts in providing various STEM education and programs for their students.

Hawaii STEM Week We are pleased to announce Hawaii’s first annual Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) Week on April 3-5, 2012, at the Hawai‘i Convention Center.

Check out the 2012 Engineers Week Robotics Tournament on Sunday, February 19 at Pearlridge Center!

HCES - Engineers Week Robotics Competition The Hawaii Council of Engineering Societies (HCES) and Pearlridge Center with the support of the McKinley High School Robotics Team, is sponsoring the HCES Pearlridge Invitational VEX Tournament as part of the 2011 Engineering Week in Hawaii.
