His debut single “Wake Up” and his follow-up release “Don’t Lie” released in 2023, showcase Kosuke’s dynamic, versatile vocal range and his natural ability to write soulful melodies and inspiring lyrics. In 2014, he gained national attention in Japan as a finalist in a widespread talent search for Watanabe Entertainment, a multimedia label, management & production company. In Tokyo, Kosuke fronted
“The HYKE,” a genre-bending group that gained attention from the popular AMUSE entertainment and SoFar Sounds in Japan. In 2019, Kosuke moved back to Hawaii and graduated last year from the Music & Entertainment Learning Experience (MELE) program at Honolulu Community College. With a recommendation by his MELE instructors, he has become an assistant engineer with legendary Hawaiian Music producer, Shawn Pimental, at his Grammy Nominated and Na Hōkū Hanohano award-winning studio, 'Upena Production Network. Kosuke continues to work alongside Shawn Pimental with various well-known Hawaii artists, including Justin Young, Jake Shimabukuro, Johnny Helm, Paula Fuga, and many more. He is a co-writer on Jake Shimabukuro’s new album, “Grateful,” with a bonus track with artist Rebecca James called “In Between.” Kosuke is also a member of new four-piece R&B group, soLUXE, writing with members Devon Lafoga and Creative Lab alumni, J.Lyn and Faith Rivera. He plans to release an artist EP in summer 2024.
