🌟 Volunteer of the Month: Welli 🌟

This month, we’re proud to recognize Welli, a longtime supporter of Aloha Harvest whose passion for reducing food waste and fighting food insecurity has inspired her to take action through our Kailua Farmers Market food rescue.

When asked what motivates her to volunteer, she shared:

“I love the mission of Aloha Harvest because I’m equally distressed by wastefulness and food insecurity. While I’ve donated money to Aloha Harvest for several years, I wasn’t able to do much volunteering because I work full-time. The Kailua Farmers Market food rescue is perfect for me because it takes place on weekends and is only a few minutes from my home. I’ve also really enjoyed meeting the other volunteers.”

Mahalo, Welli, for your compassion, dedication, and the time you give to help ensure good food nourishes our community instead of going to waste. 💚
