I spent a lot of time making friends with local people while I was in Luang Prabang, Laos. I had the privilege of meeting my friend khong's family, who welcomed me into their home. Im always humbled and appreciative of the genuine hospitality and kindness of strangers who treat me like family. They shared their simple yet rich lives with me, and although there is struggle and adversity, there is also beauty in their uncomplicated world.

Their days began early and were filled with hard work. They lived relatively in harmony with nature, relying on the land for their livelihood. Despite the simple lifestyle, they radiated joy, contentment, and a deep sense of community. Being with them reminded me that there really isn't much to life.

Food shelter and love are really all we need, and all we are ever really trying to fulfill.
