My first time as MD…playing bass. Respect due to all bassies and MD’s! It’s a very difficult, yet rewarding task. Mahalo to .makamae (& all the artists) for trusting me with your music and to our hammer crew of musicians for being patient with me. Big mahalo to and the whole crew and crowd that reciprocated our vibes. It was a fun show and I look forward to doing it again!

“Ancestors” is a song about cultural identity and the responsibility to preserve cultural heritage. The task that has been passed on to us from our ancestors; re-learn and preserve our stories. As children of the diaspora, we navigate new and different challenges, metaphorically sail new oceans, and ride the waves of change. Letʻs take steps forward in new directions while always remembering those who came before us.
