Homosassa Memories

Remembering Kevin James Head, who is missed by our Homosassa Community. This guy could always me seen out and about Homosassa. He could be found at MacRaes Bait House which was his favorite hang out or on the Homosassa River. He passed away when he was only 54, on May 25, 2012, after a short battle with cancer.
Kevin graduated from Crystal River High School, and proudly served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS John F. Kennedy. He worked as a commercial fisherman. The son of James Head & Marilyn Gavin; three sisters, Tracy, Penny and Beth and one brother, Mike. I remember he had a dog which was his constant companion but I don’t remember his name.

Remembering Marshall Lee Young Sr. who served in the US Army - photos from 1960. He was born in Yankeetown, FL. Married Aileen Head, moved to Old Homosassa and raised 3 sons there. Pictured with nephew Archie Lee Head, and with brother Holly & father John Young.
