Monday nights at the Hub are lively and full of joy! While adults attend English classes, kids are having a ball with our children’s volunteers – in the nursery, on the playground, in the garden, on the soccer field, and in the fellowship hall. 💚⚽

Pictured here are just a few of the many wonderful people who keep our kids safe and happy during ESOL – we are grateful for every one of them!

“So much is accomplished with many hands!” This volunteer feedback perfectly characterizes our Wednesday morning Hub Store setup team – a faithful group that works with care to get everything ready for the following day’s shopping appointments.

As another Hub volunteer said, “I love every moment I spend at the Hub, not only for the service, but because all the other volunteers are amazing. I’m so fortunate to be able to be a part of this program.” 🩷 We are thankful for this great team!

When a generous family offered to share “all you can pick” from their large garden – and some sweet teenagers volunteered to do it – the Outreach Hub was the lucky recipient of a bounty of fresh summer vegetables. 🌽 We’re so grateful!

If you are a parent who would like to take your kids (high school or middle school age) on a “field trip” to pick vegetables for the Hub, let us know!

🇺🇸 The Outreach Hub is closed next week! 🇺🇸

We will not have programming June 29 through July 4, including ESOL, Food Share, or Market/Store appointments. We would like to ask that you hold donation dropoffs during this time, too.

We’ll resume our regular schedule on Monday, July 6. Have a safe and happy Independence Day! ❤️🤍💙

On Wednesday mornings we have grocery shopping by appointment, and these are some of the welcoming, wonderful folks who come to help each week!

Some of our Hub volunteers have shared their comments about why they love volunteering with our guests. One said it means so much “to help clients supplement their food needs – I can’t imagine kids and the elderly going hungry.” Another said, “Feeding people who are clearly trying to take care of themselves and their circle of love feels like sharing hope.”

We are so very thankful for our Wednesday Market team and all they do!
