Dozens of local children will step into the first day of school with confidence thanks to Vice Mayor Patricia Fairclough-Staggers’ “Best Foot Forward” event. The VIP shoe shopping experience will take place on Wednesday, August 11th at 6pm. Participants must reside within the City of Homestead and must register in advance at www.cityofhomestead.com/bestfoot.

Homestead PAL's Youth Director's Council (YDC) is now open for enrollment. Any youth, grades 8th-12th are welcome. YDC meets at the Homestead PAL Gym, 600 SW 14 Ave on Tues., Weds. and Thurs. Youth will have a chance to participate in community service opportunities, life skill education, academic support and college readiness. For more information contact Ofc.
