At this weekβs meeting, our scouts dove into hands-on learning and outdoor adventure. They reviewed the Essential 6 - the six must have items for staying safe and prepared in camp: a flashlight, sunscreen, food, water, a whistle, and bandages.
The scouts also practiced key camping skills, including setting up a tent, tying a double hitch knot, and learning how to properly store trash away from raccoons to keep campsites clean and safe.
To top it all off, the group came together to celebrate Stephanie (our committee chairβs) birthday, making the evening even more special. It was a great mix of learning, teamwork, and funβbuilding confidence and life skills along the way. ποΈπ
