Being a business owner is an awesome thing to be. One of the things I miss about being in one location all the time is in-person networking. While it’s a little harder to find meetups in some of the locations we travel to, in more populated areas like Orlando, it’s much easier. Today, I’m meeting with a reading and writing group called . I’ve been following along for a few years and the schedule finally aligned so that I could meet up. We’re working at my FAVORITE place to work, Coronado Springs Resort. I even got in a little bit of reading before we got started. Traveling friends, how do you find other business owners or folks with similar interests in your travels?

It always comes back to admin for me, even when I run from it. When the photography business wasn’t bringing in what we needed, I looked to admin work.

When we changed how we ran our real estate business and were getting less income, I looked into admin work again.

Over the last 3+ years of growing Hot Mess Fix Chick, I’ve fully embraced that admin is what I’m best at, and truly, what I love to do.

My work allows me to help business owners get their behind the scenes organized so they can do more of what they’re awesome at and not worry about all the little things falling through the cracks.

- Managing free Facebook groups - mainly screening new adds and making sure they meet the criteria and aren’t spam accounts.
- Creating advanced spreadsheets for tracking income, expenses and payouts.
