We are moving into the shoulder season for fall camping in Kachemak Bay State Park. All of the yurts are still open for September. Fall is often the prettiest time in the park, but remember to dress for the weather and carry wood and water with you.

Please consider taking some time to tell DNR that you like the yurts in Kachemak Bay State Park. Tell them that you would like to see a few yurts available for rental on this side of the bay, too. Comments are due by January 22.
Consider scheduling your trip to Alaska to coincide with Salmonfest, held at the Kenai Peninsula Fairgrounds in Ninilchik.
