Rather than remove the past and erase the history, we must build upon it, celebrate and decorate it. Rather than tear the bricks down, we must gild them. The gilded bricks commemorate the gesture of taking overlooked and undervalued objects, locations, persons, and concepts and accentuating their beauty in an act that highlights the deep significance their history and existence.

When I opened The Brick I wanted to create an underground music world. Those days I will remember fondly. Thank You to all the bands who played there.
