Considering living in the Mile Square city? We can help! Feel free to use this page as a source of information, education and fun! I’ve called Hoboken my home for many years now. I own property here, I sell real estate here, and I’m always amazed at the little things that make this tiny city tick. The first rule of real estate investing is LOCATION and you can’t beat our teeny town, mere minutes t

It's been said you are the sum of the five people you spend the most time with. My grandfather used to say similarly: Tell me who you go with, and I'll tell you who you are. These phrases always sat in the back of my mind resurfacing when something felt off with a social situation or I witnessed someone do something less than ethical in business. Over the years I've been blessed to find myself in many "lucky" situations and as you get to know the people surrounding you, you realize that none of it occurred by accident. Success stories were made with hard work and dedication most couldn't fathom. Perfect lives were results of astute and timely curation and unapologetic positions. The term "lucky" began to loose its luster as I realized there is no such thing as luck, neither bad or good, but rather results for decisions made along the way. Make the right decisions and you will find yourself surrounded by so called luck. To do so, figure out what your non negotiables are. Be it respect, love, happiness, ethics, etc and evaluate all decisions based on that scale. Luck is an illusion. Don't be fooled.

Spent so much time celebrating this weekend I almost forgot to post! Happy 3rd Birthday Sambuca!!!! This dog came into our lives when the world was broken. He healed us from the inside out with every lick and funny gesture and signature Samoyed smile. He is my first born because he taught us how to be parents and care for something other than ourselves and our businesses. He laid across my belly while I was pregnant and protects his sister like nothing I've ever seen before. He softened my very prickly, traumatized heart and without him there would frankly be no Elara. I used to think people were nuts treating their pets like humans but I get it now. Boy do I get it. Buca-man you are the best part of every day and we are so lucky to have such a wonderful dog like you. Happy 3rd birthday fluff ball!!!! We love you so much and promise your sister will stop pulling on your fur in a year or so when she realizes you're not a stuffed animal.

Today in the cemetery a woman was standing next to us and visibly having a hard time. As adults we never know what to do in these situations often so far inside our heads we don't know if a hug will help or hurt our fellow human in pain. While I stood there consumed with how I could help this poor woman my 15 month old walked over to her deceased grandmother's bouquet, plucked out a flower and brought it over to the grieving woman. The woman was elated and I was speechless. She didn't ask our names and we didn't ask hers. She just thanked my daughter profusely, smiled at me and we parted ways.
I think all moms can agree it's a scary world to be raising babies in. Perhaps the best Mother's Day gift I personally could have received was some reassurance I'm on the right track here. I ask my Mom for signs of that constantly. Today I got one smack dab in front of her and I am so grateful.
Happy Mother's Day to our moms in heaven and on earth. And to all the moms just trying to raise good humans in this crazy world, we got this and so do they. High five!
(Barely used my phone today but managed to catch a few shots.
