edicine. The Mayans believe that the first cacao tree was planted to raise human consciousness and remind humans that we came from the stars. It was given to us as a call for our divinity, for our love and for our true path, and it is with this intention and devotion that we dedicate our business and our lives to cacao. We make local Hawai'ian ceremonial, medicinal chocolate bars infused with healing herbs. We also offer ceremonial cacao paste to drink, both from Hawai'i and from a Mayan tribe in Guatemala. Our intention and mission is to bring the ceremony, the indigenous knowledge & roots, and the medicine, back into chocolate; and to leave all the impure ingredients, and the unnecessary harmful over-processing out of it, in order to keep alive the spirit of cacao and the medicinal alkaloids in this highly healing plant. Whether you're eating or drinking it, cacao should be medicine: As it was originally meant to be. Our medicinal chocolate bars are:
~ Prayerfully made with local, small farm Hamakua coast or South Kona cacao beans, with cacao sourced for its highest medicinal quality
~ Sweetened only with local, ethical, small farm Puna honey

~ More than organic: All ingredients are quality & ethically sourced from small farms & operations. Local sources from Hawai’i wherever possible.
~ All crafted by hand in small batches by an ultra small, heart-led, Big Island-based, woman-owned business. Made by a cacao ceremonialist while honoring ancient Mayan traditions around cacao, to keep the spirit and medicinal alkaloids of cacao alive & potent in this bar. Our ceremonial cacao paste is:

~ From small, sacred farms on the Hāmākua Coast of Hawaii, as well as the mountain rainforests above Kealakekua Bay
~ Grown, harvested, dried, lightly roasted, and ground into paste by individuals dedicated to the medicine of cacao.
~ Handcrafted with love, prayer and devotion. Guatemalan:
~ From a Mayan women's collective in Lake Atitlan, Guatemala, who hand-process and wood fire roast their cacao with deep reverence and prayers to Spirit
~ 100% indigenous prepared, by a community that lives, breathes, & honors ancient traditions around cacao
