CHAPTER 24 - READ THE CHAPTER FIRST

Acts CHAPTER 19 - READ THE CHAPTER FIRST

Who did Paul find at Ephesus? v. 1

What did he ask these believers? v. 2

What was the only baptism these disciples knew? vv. 2,3

4. What happened as Paul prayed for them to receive the Holy Spirit? v. 6

When many seemed closed to the gospel, Paul took the disciples and taught them daily in the ways of the Lord and in the Word of God for two years.

5. What was the outcome of this serious, concentrated discipleship training? v. 10

7. A group of Jewish exorcists tried to misuse the name of Jesus to demonstrate power. Who were these men? v. 14

LESSON 3 - SEPARATION UNTO THE LORD
SEPARATION! DIVIDE! These words cry out from the very earliest of the inspired writings of the Bible. God divided the light from the darkness, Abraham was called out and separated himself from his former life, Moses and the children of Israel left Egypt, and many more are examples of the separation and division required of God’s people. In the New Testament we find these words also echoing in II Corinthians 6:17: “Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch
not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.”

1. In this separated walk, what wonderful provision has God given us to discern right from wrong? Hebrews 4:12

2. If we fail to do the right thing, where can we go to obtain mercy? Hebrews 4:16

3. Who is the High Priest who will meet us there to forgive us for our failures? Hebrews 4:14

4. Why should we be separated unto the Lord? Leviticus20:7, I Peter 1:15 & 16
