Stay calm, stay supported, stay recorded. When CPS knocks, your first moves matter.

✅ Stay calm and courteous — everything is noted.
✅ Have a lawyer, advocate, or trusted person with you (or ask to reschedule).
✅ You are not required to let CPS into your home right away. You can ask them to return when your support person is present.
✅ If you do let them in, record the visit and save the files.
