Highlander is thrilled to welcome back on Thursday, July 23rd as the next guest performer in our Salon Series🫶✨

At just 14 years old, Iris Copperman writes songs with all the emotional depth and stunning clarity of a much more seasoned artist. On her new EP Middle School Dropout, the Nashville-based singer/ songwriter/multi-instrumentalist documents a particularly turbulent chapter in her coming-of-age journey, including dealing with the careless cruelty of her classmates and eventually transitioning to homeschooling. Rooted in her lived-in storytelling and gorgeously crafted sound, the result is a powerful introduction to a captivating new voice in the world of introspective pop.

Her debut project for Interscope Records, Middle School Dropout centers on Copperman’s unguarded exploration of her internal world and the endless complexities of human nature. “When I was in middle school, kids weren’t very kind to me—I remember coming home crying every day and telling my mom I didn’t want to go back,” she says. “The whole experience taught me so much about myself, and it also made me want to understand what would lead people to act that way.” Rendered with equal parts quiet strength and soulful sensitivity, Middle School Dropout finds Copperman meeting pain with curiosity and compassion—ultimately guiding listeners toward a more open-hearted way of navigating the world🤍🌈🙏

Come hear this incredible young talent share her vulnerability and inspiring heart by candlelight, won’t you✨Tickets at Link in Bio⚡️

Highlander is thrilled to welcome our next guest artist Rayland Baxter on Thursday June 25th as the next performer in our Salon Series✨

Rayland has built a career on capturing timeless, deeply human sentiments while bringing colorful characters to life with equal parts humor and pathos, all wrapped together in incredibly crafted songs with his signature vocal style. His catalog is extensive, ranging from his 2012 album Feathers & Fishhooks to 2022’s If I Were A Butterfly, with several acclaimed albums in between including Imaginary Man, Wide Awake and Good Morning, all marked by his perpetual search for magic in the mundane. His catalog ranges from wide open Americana vistas with vivid emotions and dreams to a broader musical terrain informed in part by the late-70’s funk of his youth, where he finds the balance of joy and genuineness even as he reflects on life’s deeper meanings🖤

Come see this master craftsman work his magic by the candelabra 🔥You won’t want to miss it. Tickets at Link in Bio⚡️
