βοΈ Field Day Update: Moved to Tuesday, May 26th!
Hi AWE Families,
We want our students to have the absolute best experience for our annual Field Day!
After closely monitoring the weather forecast, field day will take place on Tuesday, May 26th.
While it looks like the rain might hold off until later tomorrow, the temperatures are forecasted to be much lower than weβd like for a day of outdoor physical activity. To ensure everyone stays warm, comfortable, and has the most fun possible, we are moving the fun to Tuesday!
The Outlook for Tuesday:
Warmer Temperatures: Perfect for running and playing!
Clear Skies: Currently 0% chance of rain.
Same Schedule: All times for game rotations and our 5th/6th vs. Teachers games remain the same. Check details here.
Station Helpers: All our 5th and 6th-grade students are expected to be at school at 8 a.m. on Tuesday to help with setup.
Thank you for your flexibility and support as we work to make this a special day for our students.
We can't wait to see everyone in their House Team colors this coming Tuesday!
Best regards,
Myriam VF

Principal's Corner:
As we head into the final month of the school year, it is hard to believe how quickly the time has gone. This time of year always brings a mix of excitement, celebration, reflection, and bittersweet moments. We are especially feeling that as we prepare to say goodbye to our incredible 5th and 6th graders who will be moving on to middle school next year.
These students have helped shape the heart of Arrowwood, and while we are so excited for their next chapter, they will be deeply missed by our staff and school community.
At the same time, I continue to be incredibly proud of the hard work and dedication our students are showing all the way through the very end of the year. Whether in classrooms, performances, assessments, projects, or extracurricular activities, our students continue to demonstrate perseverance, growth, and pride in their learning.
I also want to celebrate several of our talented student artists whose work was selected for the district Art Show that is currently taking place. We are thrilled to share that one of our students even earned an Honorable Mention Ribbon from the Art Show judges! Congratulations to all of our student artists for representing Arrowwood so well.
As a reminder, the last day of school for students will now be May 28. This is a change from the original district calendar date. DCSD previously sent communication to families regarding this adjustment, but we wanted to share the reminder here as well.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support throughout this school year. We are looking forward to finishing the year strong together!
As always, thank you for your continued support of Arrowwood Elementary. We are so grateful for our strong, connected community of students, staff, and families. The final months of the school year are always filled with energy, growth, and celebration, and we look forward to finishing the year strong!
Here we go May!
π End-of-Year Field Trips
Many classrooms will be participating in their final field trips of the year. Please continue watching for communication from your classroom teachers and in Peachjar, where flyers and information will be shared.
πΆ Spring Choir Concert β May 19 | 6:30 PM
Come enjoy an evening of music and celebration as our choir students showcase all they have worked on this year.
π Field Day β May 22
Field Day is always one of our favorite traditions of the year! Students can look forward to a day filled with teamwork, fun, and outdoor activities.
ππ 5th & 6th Grade Basketball and Volleyball Games
We are excited to continue this fun tradition as our 5th and 6th grade students compete and celebrate together. This will happen on May 22nd after the field day festivities!
π 5th & 6th Grade Graduations β May 27
We look forward to celebrating our students as they prepare for their transition to middle school. Our 6th grade graduation starts at 9 and our 5th grade graduation starts at 1:30.
π Kindergarten Graduation β May 28
Our kindergarten students will celebrate a huge milestone as they complete their very first year of elementary school! This graduation starts at 9:30!
As we wrap up another incredible school year, we want to sincerely thank all of our Arrowwood families for your continued partnership, support, and trust.
The success of our students is truly a team effort, and we are so grateful for the ways you support learning both at home and at school.
Thank you for sharing your children with us each day and for helping make Arrowwood such a special community. We are looking forward to celebrating these final weeks together and finishing the year strong!
π Volleyball Club Finale & Farewell Party!
Hi Volleyball Families,
Next week marks our final week of after-school clubs for the year! It has been an incredible season for our Volleyball Club. I am so proud to share that we averaged 10-12 players per session this yearβa wonderful growth from when we started last year!
To celebrate our success and the progress the players have made, we will be having a Farewell Party during our last session on Wednesday, May 13th from 3:30β4:30 PM.
We want to give a special "Good Luck" send-off to our players who are headed to middle school next year. We will miss them on the court, but we are so excited to see them take their skills to the next level!
I truly hope to see everyone back on the court when clubs resume next school year.
Thank you for making this club such a successful and fun part of my week!
