Sherwin Williams and Benjamin Moore have revealed their 2022 Colors of the Year, selecting 'Evergreen Fog' and ' October Mist' respectively. These picks are right in line with other brands' predictions for 2022 and this kind of wide-ranging agreement is pretty rare, spawning a belief that green may be the new gray.

Here's how the paint companies describe their colors:
- a regenerative touch
- pairs well with natural textures and textiles, deep black shades and metals like champagne gold or warm brass
- a gently shaded sage that quietly anchors while encouraging creative expression through color
