Gods Grace Animal Rescue

Pearl made fast friends with my horse and they are found together often grazing or eating together. We are going to allow them to stay together when she is moved to the foaling barn, as I think moving her alone will cause her too much stress.

I was that kid.
The one who brought home every stray. Every injured animal.
The one who stopped traffic to help a turtle cross the road.
The one who cried over roadkill and tried to nurse half dead creatures back to life with a shoebox, a blanket, and hope.

And guess what? I never outgrew it.

I’m still stopping in the middle of the road for animals.
Still pulling over to move turtles to safety.
Still offering food to strays.
Still crying when I see something suffering, because turning a blind eye? That’s just not in me.

Even as a mother, even with kids in the car, I’ll stop.
Because I want them to grow up knowing we help.
We don’t drive past pain. We don’t watch something suffer when we could have done something.
We don’t ignore a life just because it’s not human.

I’d rather be “that crazy animal lady” than someone who could look at suffering and keep walking.

If I can help, I will.
Because kindness isn’t selective
