Join High Point Museum for a free public screening of the new historical documentary, "The American Constitution." The film brings the dramatic story of the nation's founding to life. A live Q&A with the film's award-winning director, David Garrigus, will follow the screening.

250 years ago today, the “Declaration of Independence” was first read aloud to the public! Learn about the importance of this document and try your hand at writing like the Founding Fathers. Practice your penmanship with quills and ink provided by our costumed interpreters.

Getting Clean in the Historical Park
How did colonists prepare their households for the seasons? What was bathing and hygiene like? How did soldiers clean their wool uniforms? How were plants and herbs used to freshen things up? Join our costumed interpreters as they demonstrate practices of cleanliness in the 18th and 19th centuries.
