Artist Robin Ball really excelled on this double portrait. Robin has truly communicated the love the lady in the painting has for her dog, and the dog’s love for her. I delight in how the artist has so expertly modulated the subtleties of the skin on her face and delicate transitions in the animal’s fur and eye. Robin also expertly modified the background lighting from the source image to significantly improve the painting, making for a much more pleasing effect—CONGRATULATIONS Robin on finishing another captivating artwork!

March of 2026 also resulted in artist Karen Keyes having painted this captivating vision of one of her garden’s butterflies. Karen is a true lepidopterist. She not only loves gardening for their successful habitat, she also will travel with multiple chrysalises in a jar to observe the metamorphosis! This painting represents the beginning of a series on butterflies and I am eager to enjoy each of her beautiful creations. CONGRATULATIONS Karen on creating more beautiful art!
