Split the case and cleaned up the transmission today. It's almost all buttoned up.

I haven't posted in a while. Haven't done any wood work in a while. I bought this little dude for 80 bucks. Put about 300 into it and am about to drop another... 120 ish and finish it. I'll post the tear down and whatnot. So I have always really loved small engines. Kinda wanted to be a mechanic for a while. Ever pick up an old habit and be like "ooooh yeah I love this"? Playing with this thing I remembered I like working on small engines and riding motorcycles. MDO is evolving. My wood shop is kind of out of commission for a while. It will come around again. But thanks to ADD I'm a mechanic now. So stay tuned if you like that kind of thing too.
Been really slow lately. To be honest I'm not getting along with my new table saw and I just don't want to hassle with it. It's a great contractor saw but just doesn't fit the bill for fine milling. My soft plan is to sell it and a few other things and get a good saw come tax season. So probably gonna flood you with my bird season adventures and dog training shenanigans until then.

Did a little grouse fan mount for my dog. I've been sitting on that cutoff for a few years and now I know why I guess. It's a really cool grain pattern with the wain.

Jim Schell my guy today was a ton of fun. 2 good grouse and a day with my oldest buddy. C**t has been promoted to Bushman 1st class.

So I finished this today. The fan has only been sitting here since may. Go ahead with the jokes. Basic white girl, probie. Whatever. Seems a little obvious and uninspired but I'm happy with it.

While scraping the hide I discovered squirrels have a hefty deposit of ass fat. Difficult but hilarious. Blood's Taxidermy if you want to remind people why they pay professionals you can steal this image all day. In hindsight I should have used salt brine I think in leu of stretching, tacking and dry salt. The limbs wanted to rip when I pulled them back through.

A book shelf I built. The top is spalted maple in a river and the body is cherry with black walnut trim. I have taken like a month to do this. Maybe 2 months all in all. I made mistakes sure. But it's one of my favorite pieces I've ever done.

My first end grain board. Several mistakes made. But it's gonna be stout.
