No matter what medium I happen to be working in, I look to color as the means to evoke emotion, elicit memories and draw in and produce a reaction in the viewer. Most of my color choices are intuitive and I find that, in particular with the abstracts that I have been working lately, the painting is most successful when I let it evolve as I am working. My main goal as an artist is to create something beautiful and sometimes be thought-provoking in both my subject matter and how I handle it.
