What does "days on market" actually mean?
It is the number of days a home sits for sale before going under contract. It is one of the best clues about how a market is really doing.
A short number means homes are moving fast. A long number means buyers have more room to negotiate.
It is more useful than price alone, because price can be set high or low on purpose. Days on market shows you the truth.
