We had a fun day at the market today, and it was my pleasure to introduce the world to two (of the three) ladies who are keeping the farm going. Huge thanks Grace and Sydney for their enthusiasm and willingness to jump into at times frantic pace of my market stall. Also big hearts to all the folks we havent seen in person since last Fall and to all the new faces who stopped by today!

For Those who don't, I started a new job about a month and half ago at Helena Food Share as the Volunteer Manager there. More on that another time.

But, this week our kitchen manager went on vacation, and they offered for me to keep the kitchen going or let the volunteers who work in it that they also had the week off.

Not knowing how to say no, I rolled up my sleeves and dug out some favorite recipes. I have to say, it was fun scaling 4 servings upto 90, and playing with some real industrial equipment gave me a hoot!

But for now, I am hoping to open up folks' minds about some of our Market staples and whats possible with them. We've been hearing meat is expensive, but then people walk past a pound of lentils every week. So here's to broadening horizons!

Been a season for the ages. Kale from February to almost November, and our friends have taken almost 500 lbs and counting off our hands!

If you've had the best sammich in town, you've had our greens!
