Try their estate grown Zinfandel bursting with huckleberry and pomegranate. Start with their ever floral Gewurz bursting forth with honeysuckle and jasmine. Alexander Valley Vineyards also is one of the few wineries here to grow and make a 100% Cabernet Franc. Sip a bit of Cab Franc before joining them on one of their cave tours at 11am or 2pm. From Alexander Valley Vineyards continue down Highway 128 to Hanna and start with their ever popular Sauvignon Blanc. Take in the sweeping views as you sip on Pinot Noir rich with plum and chocolate. Don't forget to indulge yourself in some of their Reserve Malbec, always a treat! from there drop down to Field Stone Winery and Vineyards, California's first subterranean winery. This is also a good place to start your journey if coming up Chalk Hill Road from the Windsor/Santa Rosa direction. Field Stone prides itself in its long standing award winning wines since 1977. Start with light and crisp Viognier . Follow up with the always delightful Sangiovese which pairs with any cuisine especially those of Italian faire. Don't forget to try the Petite Sirah from 121 year old vineyards!
