Happy New Year to all of our beautiful patients! Your optometrists here at The Optometry Center would like to offer some suggestions to your running list of New Year resolutions:

1. STAY HEALTHY! Mask up, wash your hands, get your vaccinations and boosters. Also, stay hydrated and partake in a complete diet with plenty of antioxidants. Trust us, your eyes and body will thank you!

2. TAKE BREAKS FROM SCREENS! We understand your busy lifestyle, but taking even a few minutes to look outside of a window or to just simply close your eyes will make a world of difference for your screen-related eyestrain and headaches.

3. WEAR SUN PROTECTION! Ultraviolet rays are not your friend. Protect yourself with sunglasses and brimmed hats to prevent/delay the onset of cataracts, macular degeneration, and pterygia.

We are hopeful for a great New year, we hope to see you all soon here at The Optometry Center!

Hello beautiful people!

Since the weather is getting nicer and vacation/travel is becoming more accessible, the docs at The Optometry Center wanted to remind you to WEAR SUN PROTECTION! Wear sunscreen, throw on a nice shady hat, and pop on your favorite pair of sunglasses! Your eyes will thank you!

Think your sunglasses collection leaves something to be desired? Stop by our office and pick out a new pair or two or seven!

Let us help you in reducing your risk of vision loss. We encourage all of you to take control of your eye health - come in for your annual eye exam and follow these general tips for healthy and happy eyes.

WE ARE BACK IN ACTION!!!

We apologize for the long hiatus on this page but we are now back and ready to drop any news regarding upcoming promotions we are having at the office, random tidbits of eye-related knowledge to keep your eyes healthy, and just send happy thoughts your way.

It is officially April which means it is officially SPORTS EYE SAFETY MONTH. Did you know that roughly 100,000 people experience some type of sports-related eye injury every year and almost 15% of those cases can result in PERMANENT vision loss? Don't let it be you!

We have all been getting restless indoors for the last year and now that the weather is nice, we WANT you to go out and play (safely and within social distancing protocols, of course). Recreational activities like sports are essential for maintaining a healthy lifestyle and healthy eyes, just make sure to wear proper protective eyewear and other protective gear. And IF an unfortunate sports-related eye accident occurs, come in right away so we can ensure you get the eye care you need to preserve your vision!
