5 of 10 Reasons to Give: RAMS Strengthens Life-Saving Support for Pacific Islanders
20% of surveyed high school students seriously considered attempting su***de in the past year, with Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander students were more likely to attempt su***de than students of other racial groups (Centers for Disease Control & Prevention, 2023).
One of our participants in the RAMS Pacific Islander Wellness Initiative (PIWI) shared “community informed and in-language mental health services are important to me because they saved my life… I don't think I would keep powering through life the way I am if it wasn't for people like my coworkers and counselors at RAMS.”
Your donation makes sure the Pacific Islanders in Alameda County continue to have access to care that honors their languages, identities, and cultures: tinyurl.com/RAMS-Giving-25
