We have 3 wood storks visiting our lakefront tonight. There are a lot of interesting sightings but hard to capture pics of them at the moment (I don't usually have my phone on me). Once we saw the fox running around the lake while we were fishing at dusk. Another morning there were these little birds with long skinny legs, maybe ibises, and tiny little babies with them. It was a big flock of them, maybe 20. Then, the other morning, I saw the gator approach our fishing spot. It was after a school of fish splashing in the very shallow waters of the edge of the lakefront. You could see everything of the gator: head, body and tail because the water is so, so shallow. I missed his attack trying to get my phone to take a pic of how big he was. He was already swimming away.

Anyone in need of a solution to rats in your feed barn ? Barn cats ! These cats are excellent rat exterminators. What started as feeding a poor cat with half a tail, who barged in on my 2 outdoor cats eating their canned cat food breakfast like she was starving, ignoring their hissing protests, has turned into this situation. I fed her canned cat food for only 2 days. Then, shortly after feeding her, these 4 adorable little kittens emerged out of my flower garden. One was such an adorable white kitten that would make me very sad if she got eaten by a predator, so Marshmallow got saved into an indoor kitten. I am offering these kittens and mother cat to a good home (not Marshmallow). They are super fast and agile in chasing rats. I see the high speed chase and pursuit at night and see their prized catches and meals. Or if someone is in need of a sweet little kitten, they can be trained to be an indoor kitten. Please consider one of these kittens or mother cat into your home or farm. Thanks. Just message me. (I've named them Half-Tail, Half-White, Stripey, and Spotty. I'm training them to eat food in the crate so it should be easy to catch them).
Mirabella captured an otter running from our lake to Ollivander's pasture in around 2 or 3 pm last Wednesday. We thought it might be a mink or weasel but the biologist told us it is an otter because of it's size. A weasel is only 3 tennis balls in length. Always fun to see new wildlife around here.
