Before going back to AZ, we quickly passed by The Beach Boys Memorial in Hawthorne, CA. This was where Brian Wilson (my favorite composer) and his family had their house (before it was demolished to make room for the 105 freeway) . But they built this nice memorial for them. It’s no secret that Brian Wilson is my favorite songwriter and composer. I still don’t understand how ‘God only knows’ was crafted - probably the most unique chord progression I’ve come across. Another cool thing is that this place was only 40 minutes away from La Mirada, which was where I grew up as a kid. Cool stuff!
