There's a fresh chapter beginning at our little library, and we're delighted to share it with you!

Please join us in welcoming our new librarian, Jon Stimson. He brings a warm spirit, a love of books, and a knack for making everyone--from toddlers to seasoned readers--feel right at home. Stop in and say hello, see all the new arrivals, discuss your most recent read, find your next one, and hear about the ways we are bringing our community together.

And speaking of coming together, here's a peek at what's on the horizon:

***Summer Reading Program -- Planting seeds of Independence. Every Tuesday during July from 10:30-12:00

***Mahjongg --Join a small group at the library for a game of Mahjongg. Wednesday evenings from 4-6 pm. All abilities welcome.

***Walk & Talk Thursdays -- Join us at 3 pm for a stroll down Court Street and around the Commons for ~ 1.3 miles of conversation, community, and connection. (Weather depending, of course)

***Fairbanks Museum & Planetarium day passes -- we are offering our patrons a day pass to the museum! This pass will allow two adults and their children/grandchildren with free admission! Please contact Jon at the library to schedule your museum visit date.

***Haverhill History Day -- our 2nd History Day will be September 26 from 10AM to 4 PM. Visitors, residents, and volunteers are encouraged to dress in period clothing (1700 to early 1900s). Come enjoy a day of horse drawn wagon rides, historic home tours, traditional crafts and demonstrations, music, food, and exhibits at the historic Alumni Hall, Wentworth-Brown House, the First Congregational Church of Haverhill, and Haverhill Academy's Pearson Hall. Speaking events are being planned for the week leading up to History Day, so be watching for details.

Our library may be small, but it's full of heart -- and we're excited for this next season with you!
