Designed to provide social support and comfort, enjoy and share a meal together while learning how to navigate cooking at home for one. This event is free and open to the public. Tufts Medicine is proud to announce that Dr. Bernice Burkarth, Chief Medical Officer, received the prestigious Heart of Hospice award on September 19 at the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization’s Annual Conference. Dr. Burkarth also co-presented with Dr. Tamara Vesel, Chief of Palliative Care at Tufts Medical Center, on their research, “Applying Qualitative Research to Build Palliative Care." This award highlights Dr. Burkarth's exceptional contributions to hospice care and her deep commitment to patients and colleagues.
