A federal judge has struck down efforts to narrow the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program following a lawsuit brought by educators' unions, including the National Education Association (NEA) and other partners.
This ruling helps protect the promise made to the dedicated public servants who devote their careers to educating our students and serving their communities. Educators deserve to have the student loan forgiveness they earned and not have the rules changed after years of service.
The Georgia Association of Educators proudly celebrates this important win for educators across Georgia and the nation. We will continue to stand with our Georgia members and advocate for policies that respect, support, and invest in those who serve our public schools.
Together, our voices make a difference.
