At CT State Capital, building strong relationships with our community partners, supporters, and stakeholders is an important part of creating opportunities for our students.

Last Saturday, we welcomed board members, donors, future partners, and staff to the CT Sun vs. Indiana Fever game at Mohegan Sun. It was a great opportunity to strengthen relationships, share our mission, and celebrate the community that supports our students.

We even connected with a CT Sun cheerleader who expressed interest in one of our academic programs- an unexpected reminder that educational opportunities can spark conversations anywhere.

This is what CT State Capital is all about: connection, opportunity, and student success.

🌈 Happy Pride Month from CT State Capital! 🌈

This month, we celebrate the LGBTQ+ community and reaffirm our commitment to fostering a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive environment where everyone belongs.

Looking for ways to celebrate locally? Downtown Hartford is hosting several events throughout June, across the street from campus, including:

• Hartford Taste Festival (June 5–7) on Pratt and Trumbull Streets, featuring food, music, art, and community activities.

• Capital City Pride (June 13), just steps from our campus, with Pride on Pratt, a family-friendly street fair on Pratt Street, followed by PrideFEST at Mortensen Riverfront Plaza and an evening afterparty.

• Salsa Social on Pratt Street (June 26), bringing live music, dancing, and community engagement to downtown Hartford.

As a campus located in the heart of Hartford, we're proud to celebrate Pride alongside our students, employees, and neighbors.

Our first Alumni WNBA Event is in the books!

This past Saturday, CT State Capital alumni, family, and friends gathered in downtown Hartford for an evening that started with reconnecting at Urban Lodge and ended at PeoplesBank Arena for the very first WNBA game ever played in Hartford. 🏀

The excitement extended beyond the arena, with a downtown block party bringing the community together to celebrate this historic moment for the city.

Inside the arena, fans were treated to an exciting matchup as the Connecticut Sun earned an 84-81 victory over the Los Angeles Sparks. Attendees also witnessed a major milestone when Brittney Griner scored her 6,000th career point, becoming just the 18th player in WNBA history to reach that achievement.

Beyond the action on the court, the highlight of the evening was seeing CT State Capital alumni reconnect, share updates, and strengthen the relationships that continue long after graduation.

Thank you to everyone who joined us!
