Over the past few days, community leaders, Board of Education and building committee members, school administrators and teachers, state representatives, project partners, and residents gathered to celebrate the groundbreakings for the new Uncas and Moriarty Elementary Schools in the City of Norwich.

With these two projects now underway, Norwich has four active construction projects advancing as part of its comprehensive $385 million School Construction Program. Each groundbreaking represents an important step toward delivering modern, high-quality learning environments for students, educators, and families across the community.

These milestones would not be possible without the voters of Norwich, whose support helped move this vision forward. That continued public trust is central to the success of a program of this scale, and Mayor Swarnjit Singh’s commitment to keeping the community informed through the Mayor’s Dashboard on the City’s website reflects the importance of clear, consistent communication as progress continues.

CSG is proud to serve as Owner’s Project Manager for this second phase of the program, working alongside the City of Norwich, DRA Architects, O&G Industries, and the many stakeholders helping bring these transformative projects from planning through completion.

Congratulations to everyone involved as Norwich continues building the future of education for its students and families.

In case you missed it — yesterday, CSG Senior Project Manager Michael Faenza joined Building Committee Chairman Mark Bettencourt and Peter “Greeneville Pete” Procko on the air with Stu Bryer of WICH AM 1310 / 94.5 FM to discuss the exciting progress taking place across the Norwich Public Schools construction program.

From active construction milestones to the long-term impact these projects will have on students, staff, and the community, it was a great conversation about the future of education in Norwich.

We’re proud to support the City of Norwich as Owner’s Project Manager for this transformational program and appreciate the opportunity to share updates with the community.
