It’s a no makeup, pulled over in the parking lot kind of quiet time day. Hence picture 2.

My sweet momma suggested me pack my journal and devotions in the car so when Evie girl is asleep and I want her to get a full nap in, I can do what my heart has been missing so deeply. ⠀

And my soul, after 6 months of trying to reach Him, feel Him reaching me through my kind mom. ⠀

Here is what I’ve learned through God and Ruth Chou Simmons today as I reflect on Hebrews 11:13-16⠀

“They had to trust God’s purposes even when the plan did not seem to deliver the results they believed best at the time they thought most necessary.” Faith. ⠀

“But God’s grace does inform how we make sense of the journey when our stories don’t turn out the way we expected or hoped.” Hope. ⠀

Personal Take Away; ⠀

I see that in fact, praising God, rejoicing in Him through long suffering is what He is working on in me. I asked Him to make me more like Jesus; to be a true woman of faith. But was I ready for the sacrifice? I’m so grateful for the test.
