đź’ś Recognizing Changes Matters đź’ś
Mental health isn’t always about what someone says.
Sometimes it’s about the changes you notice.
Take a closer look if your child suddenly:
• Withdraws from family or friends
• Loses interest in activities they once enjoyed
• Has changes in sleep or appetite
• Seems unusually angry or irritable
• Has a drop in school performance
• Wants to spend all of their time alone
• Says things like “Nobody cares,” “I’m a burden,” or “What’s the point?”
One change doesn’t always mean there’s a mental health concern—but a pattern of changes is worth paying attention to.
Trust your instincts.
Start the conversation.
Listen without judgment.
Let them know they are loved.
Sometimes asking, “I’ve noticed you haven’t seemed like yourself lately. Do you want to talk?” can make all the difference.

đź’ś Did You Know?
Nearly 1 in 5 teenagers experiences a major depressive episode.
Think about that for a moment.
In a classroom of 30 students, that could mean 6 kids are quietly struggling.
Some will smile.
Some will stay silent.
Some will hope someone notices.
Mental health isn’t just someone else’s story.
It’s happening in our schools, our neighborhoods, and our community.
Let’s continue creating a place where our kids know it’s okay to ask for help.

As parents, our first instinct is often to protect our children by giving advice or solving the problem.
But sometimes what our kids need most isn’t an answer…
They need to know they’re safe enough to talk.
Instead of immediately saying, “Here’s what you should do,” try asking:
💜 “Tell me more about what happened.”
💜 “How did that make you feel?”
💜 “What do you think would help?”
When our kids feel heard instead of judged, they’re more likely to come back to us—not just once, but again and again.
Sometimes the greatest gift we can give our children isn’t having all the answers.
It’s being someone they trust enough to tell their story.

đź’ś Saturday Reminder đź’ś
As we head into the weekend, take a moment to slow down.
Check in on your kids.
Check in on your friends.
And don’t forget to check in on yourself.
Not every struggle is visible.
Not every smile tells the whole story.
A little kindness, patience, and understanding can go a long way.
Sometimes the most important thing we can do is let someone know they’re seen, heard, and valued.
đź’ś You never know how much that may mean to someone.

đź’ś We Are Not Giving Up đź’ś
There will be challenges.
There will be setbacks.
There will be days when the road feels longer than we expected.
But we are not giving up.
Not on our kids.
Not on our families.
Not on the conversations that need to be had.
And not on our mission to support youth mental health.
Every child deserves hope.
Every family deserves support.
And every struggle deserves understanding.
So we will keep showing up.
We will keep speaking up.
And we will keep moving forward.
đź’ś We are not giving up.
