🎭 About These Shows

Right now, most BDE shows operate as workout / showcase rooms.
These rooms are designed for comedians to:
• Work new material
• Polish and improve existing sets
• Build confidence and consistency
• Practice in front of real, often packed, audiences
• Get actual stage reps to grow.

We are NOT running the headliners on most shows.

Pay is based on the size of the room, not headliner/feature titles.

🎤 Spots Per Show
• 3–5 Paid Performer Spots
• 1 Guest Spot (unpaid)
• Feature/Closer-style roles are select and rotation-based, assigned as comics develop.

💰 Compensation – Paid Spots

Weekdays (Mon–Thurs)
• $35 – shows with 100 people or fewer
• $50 – large shows (more than 100 people)

Weekends (Fri–Sat)
• $40 – shows with 50 people or fewer
• $50 – shows with 51–100 people
• $60 – shows with more than 100 paid tickets

Show Cancellations
• Cancelled before arrival: No pay
• Cancelled after arrival: $20 compensation

🎤 Expectations for Paid Performers
• Arrive on time and show-ready
• Deliver your set within the assigned time
• Respect staff, audience, and fellow comics
• Do not intentionally antagonize crowd members
• If you initiate crowd work and it goes sideways, your time is still your time
• Maintain a professional presence before, during, and after the show
