We join the millions, perhaps billions of people mourning Ozzy. Like David Lynch, his influence and significance is so obvious and pervasive it almost feels impossible to comment upon, but there are bigger feelings coming up than I would have predicted. If you haven’t done so, do yourself a favor and track down the Basement Tape, the 1970 Black Sabbath Peel Session. Though right now, I keep coming back to Warning. Long dark blues indeed.
