Why should I join the PTSA? Research shows that when parents are involved in their children's education, the children are more likely to:

ation. Parents are so important to our schools success, and the PTSA is a key way that parents can support our school. Now, by “support,” we are not just talking about fundraising. Yes, we raise money for several different causes during the year, But we also organize great family events in and out of the school throughout the school year. Volunteering is an awesome way to support even if it’s for a short time or for limited events. Benefits of joining the Phenix PTSA

*Nice to meet you. PTSA functions are opportunities to meet other parents and teachers, building relationships and talking to one another. You can share ideas, concerns, and experiences.

*Be a Role Model. By becoming a PTSA member, you’ll be demonstrating to your child the importance you place on education.

*Making an impact. By getting involved in the Phenix PTSA you’ll be part of the solution, helping make positive changes. What are the goals of the PTSA at Phenix K-8?

-Boost Children’s Well-Being. We focus on what students need to be successful in their learning, including nutrition, health, school safety, physical fitness and general well-being. We work with the school to ensure that children succeed.

-Support school staff members with our grant programs and staff appreciation efforts.

-To have 100% participation from our parents. Parental involvement is crucial to building this culture. Kids need to know they're not making their life journey alone.

Holiday Shop starts next week DECEMBER 8th! If you haven’t already done so, please complete your HCS background check and sign up below to volunteer to help make this a success for our students!

Our Holiday Shop opens on 12/8, and our goal is to keep it open each day that week from 8:00 AM–2:00 PM so all students have the chance to shop.

To make this possible, we must have volunteers. Without volunteer coverage, we will unfortunately have to close the shop to student shoppers — and we don’t want that to happen! This is such a fun and meaningful time for our students as they pick out gifts for friends and family.
