OpSail 2012 Virginia™ and Norfolk Festevents are now accepting volunteer applications for OpSail 2012 Virginia™. OpSail 2012 Virginia™ will take place from June 1-12, 2012 and will be held throughout the Hampton Roads and Chesapeake Bay regions. This international, historic event will commemorate the Bicentennial of the War of 1812 and the Star-Spangled Banner, as well as honor our nation’s naval and sea service heritage.

The first OpSail 2012 Virginia™ Volunteer Information Meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, December 14, 2011 from 6:00-9:00pm at the Half Moone Cruise and Celebration Center next to NAUTICUS at 1 Waterside Drive, Norfolk VA 23510. Please visit www.opsail2012virginia.com for directions to the meeting.

Boaters who wish to to be on the water to es**rt the parade of ships through the harbor are encouraged to register with OpSail early. Keep an eye on the Boater Info tab on the OpSail 2012 Virginia™ site.
