Greetings Trojan Family,
In response to COVID-19 related health and safety concerns and for the well-being of our Trojan Family, Virginia State University has made the difficult decision to cancel its 2020 in-person Homecoming activities.
The week-long celebration, originally slated for Oct 19-24, 2020, traditionally brings thousands of students, alumni and visitors to campus to participate in the weeklong events. VSU Officials wanted to make this decision early enough for people to change their travel plans for October. “While this decision was difficult, it was the only responsible decision we could make. The sheer number of people who attend VSU homecoming makes it impossible to maintain proper protocols to ensure the safety of our Trojan Family” says VSU President, Makola Abdullah, Ph.D.
