Needless to say, we had an enjoyable couple of days on the lathe crafting these wood pens.
The process:
1. Cut wood into approximately 1” square strips & lengthwise to 4 1/4”
2. Marked blanks on both sides as numbered sets
3. Cut wood blanks in half
4. Drilled a 7mm hole in the center of each piece using the .woodworking lathe
5. Superglued brass tubes into hole
6. Used a pen barrel trimmer to square the brass tubes and the wood
7. Turned the wood blanks on the lathe with a pen turning mandrel
8. Sanded
9. Rubbed Super glue for hard finish
10. Buff & Polish
11. Use Pen Press to assemble each pen together.
