A sneak peek of our "new" rat room!

My little brother wanted to move in, despite us not having a bedroom for him. He slept on our couch for about 2 months until we renovated our basement enough to safely accommodate our rats; I was not going to risk putting my rats in a potentially dangerous, dusty place 😤

This is what we have so far! Sorry for the mess of empty cages and supplies.

As a breeder, my rats are NOT livestock, money printers, etc. They will always be my pets first and foremost! The day I ever look at my rats and not feel emotionally attached is the day that I stop being a breeder. My rats DESERVE to live in critter nations with tons of enrichment and get attention every day; I will never settle adopting them to live a lesser life. And quality is better than quantity; I will only ever breed if I have enough space, time, and attention to dedicate to babies ❤️

Kenzi and her litter are getting too big for the maternity cage! In a few days, they'll be moving to a critter nation ❤️

What a busy weekend! You'll see why in a few days 😎❤️ If you reached out, I will get back to you shortly!

Also, I will be posting a few retirees/older rats for adoption soon! Including some dwarves! ❤️ If you're looking for a few older rats to join your mischief (10 months to 2 years old), peep the post I'll be making tomorrow!

For now, here are a few pictures of some of our current bebes ❤️
