Should you pay the extra $55 for a Costco Executive Membership? 06/08/2016

Our friend Shana gave us something thing to think about and it is worth sharing. See her post below!

Shana's post

I know shopping club memberships are really popular these days, so I just wanted to quickly compare the value you get with a Costco Executive Membership at $110 per year with my favorite online shopping club for just $19 a year.
The writer of this article believes the greatest benefit of the Costco membership is the 2% cash back rewards program on purchases. OK, sounds great, but we get 30-50% discounts just for shopping monthly and I really love our 15% Loyalty Dollar rebate program on every purchase. I've earned over $650 from this benefit alone over the past 15 months. But then we also offer up to 15% rebates at over 650 other online stores with our $19 membership.
With Costco you get discounted rates on home, auto, life, dental, medical and vision insurance; pre-arranged automobile pricing through their Auto Program and even discounted identity theft protection. Of course we get all that too, plus travel services for $91 less per year.
Now imagine if Costco gave you $100 to shop with just for trying the membership risk-free, actually shipped the stuff to your door and paid you month after month for referring other shoppers if you chose to do that.
But then nobody could really afford to do all that for just $19 a year. Or could they?
Thanks for some amazing shoppers for sharing the statistics!
