My name is Matthew, I’ve been reading cards for friends and family for 7 years now. 7 seems like an auspicious number to start a new endeavor, and here we are. Reading distantly is a new thing for me, but in our day and age we can visit with each other in the safest ways possible and so we adjust and adapt. I prefer to read with someone on a video chat of some sort, to preserve the interaction t

Happy Solstice all you gentlefolks~
here’s a 3 card spread for a dramatic return to the weekly reading.

🌞
Here is The Wheel of Fortune, the 10th card of the Major Arcana. This card whispers to us that circumstances are shifting in the days ahead, that luck will change is flow and the pace of its rhythm will affect us. The next question that we always have is, will it be good luck or bad luck that comes to me? But the wisdom of this card is more nuanced, it is a lesson and a reminder that change is the only constant in our lives. All things take a turn on the Wheel, and while life does change there is comfort in that too. Take the changes as they come and enjoy the fruits while they remain available to us.

🌚
This Hanged Man was pulled in this placement for us today. This card can be an enormously uncomfortable energy to encounter, as it’s most poignant message is to remind us how very much our lives are out of our control. We spend our years on this lovely blue marble, and life sometimes happens at us or to us rather than what we invite by our own choice. But there is a glimmer of hope here, a peace in Letting Go. Challenges will confront us, filling us with a fresh awareness of our own helplessness. This card warns that we will be made uncomfortable by the turning of the Wheel in the coming days, but it also gifts us with the knowledge our inner peace can be persevered no matter the circumstances.

🌟
The Chariot. Almost as a rebuke to the Hanged Man and the Wheel of Fortune this card appears to offer us the advice we crave. This card is about empowerment in our own agency. It is pulled here in this placement to remind us that there are aspects of our life that are within our control, that remain within our power. There is a subtle nuance here, a give and take of the cards before and I hope all of you catch it - yes life is messy and we are unwitting passengers of higher forces beyond our comprehension. But, we have governance over our own reactions and there are choices that remain to us no matter what happens to us. This card pushes us to find our own agency in our lives, to persevere and make the effort to stand tall and steady despite the ebbs and flows that surround us. This card reminds us that we CAN endure and that we should.

This is a mighty spread for such an important day. The Summer Solstice, when light lingers the longest, a day celebrating our fathers, the afterglow of a newly minted and long overdue national holiday of Juneteenth, and during the long summer celebrations of Pride. What a magic time, and I hope you get to celebrate these days.
Take the magic and the meaning of this reading for yourselves today, and remember I am always here for a private reading whenever you feel ready for one. 🌹

here’s a Breathe Spread for all you gentlefolks this lovely Sunday afternoon 🌹

Breathe In~
The 13th card of the Major Arcana, Death. This card has a looming reputation, but the truth of it’s the wisdom is something different then what popular culture has taught us to expect. Death in the Tarot is the Great Shape Changer. It does not point to a specific “death” of any one person, but rather a potent and dramatic shift in our lives. This card is not comfortable, and we as humans tend to balk at the idea of change- but in this position we are advised to ride with this change, to breathe it into ourselves and allow it to seep into our perspective. Take the changes as they come, holding onto the peace that we can foster in our inner core - acknowledging what is beyond our control to keep.

Breathe Out-
The Six of Wands. This card is about success, victory and accolades. It is the winner’s strut, showered in congratulations. It can be confusing to find this card in this position, as something that we must let go of in the coming week. It is not that we will not succeed, it is not a portent of doom, it is just and advisement that we need to let go of our need for acknowledgement. This is an important distinction to make to understand the message here- do not be motivated by your need to be rewarded. Do your works because they must be done, and make an effort to separate it from the needs of your ego.

This spread is a lesson in humbleness. Acknowledging the illusion of control we hide ourselves in, and accepting the changes that come. All while letting go of the need to be praised and gratified, letting our successes be born without ego. Medicine is sometimes bitter, but it heals us all the same. Have a blessed week loves ✨

good evening all you gentlefolks, here’s a Sky Spread for the week ahead. The🌞 will tell us the general theme of the week, the 🌚 will tell us of the subtle challenges we will encounter, and the 🌟 will tell us what actions and mindsets we should best take.

🌞
The Page of Pentacles. This card comes to us at the start of something new, as all Pages do. In the earthly expression of Pentacles this Page tells us that there is a new opportunity, skill, or object to be had in the start of the week. Allow yourself to be enamored and excited by this opportunity, it may challenge us and make us feel clumsy and new - but that is a good feeling to have every once in awhile.

🌚
The Five of Swords. This card is placed as a clear and direct warning. Fives usually point to a struggle of some sort, a set back or a conflict and this card specifically indicates and argument where words fly as sharp as blades. Take this warning, and measure out yourselves carefully in conversations in the week ahead. You may win the argument, but at the cost of hurting those around you.

🌟
The Ace of Cups. This is a particularly lovely card, and it meshes well into the previous cards. This card is a flow of compassion and gentleness. Pulled in this placement it advises us to move with gentleness in the week ahead, to temper ourselves with kind flows. You may be challenged by the works that present themselves even if they intrigue you, and you may be tempted to join in on harsh arguments that confront you - but the wisdom of this card is to be connected to a inner well of love and tenderness. Remember to keep your cup full, in both your examinations of yourself and interactions with those around you.

Have a blessed week y’all 💖
