The "good" in Good Friday, is the Cross.

You may say "how could someone dying on a cross be a good thing"

Usually is isn't. But there was one time, 2000 years ago, that it was.

When Jesus died on the Cross it didn't just represent death but it represented completion.

Since the beginning of man, God had spoke of a redeemer that would come to as a sacrifice and save us from our sins.

An innocent man had to die to pay for the sins of the guilty.

If we died on a cross it would have been deserved. That would have been the end of it.

However because Jesus never sinned YET died in our place for OUR sins, we can be forgiven.

That was the completion of God's plan to save mankind.

We simply place our faith in what Jesus did at the Cross on this day roughly 2000 years ago and our eternal life is guaranteed.

Sounds pretty good to me.
