Last week Lodge 66 had the opportunity to attend the National Police Memorial. One of the most humbling experiences for a Law Enforcement Officer.
To those that have made the ultimate sacrifice, you will not be forgotten. Special thank you to Illinois Fraternal Order of Police and Chicago John Dineen Lodge No. 7 for making this possible.

Today we honor those that have paid the ultimate sacrifice. May God bless you and your families.

As we start National Police Week in Washington DC. Let's reflect on the officers who gave the ultimate sacrifice.

This Friday, 363 names will be added to the wall. Including two from Illinois. Officer Krystal Rivera (Chicago Police Department, E.O.W. 06-05-2025) and Detective Tim Jones (Park Forest Police Department, E.O.W. 12-03-2025).

National Police Week, observed annually in May, honors law enforcement officers who have died in the line of duty, rooted in a 1962 proclamation by President John F. Kennedy. It officially designates May 15 as Peace Officers Memorial Day and features week-long events in Washington, D.C., including a candlelight vigil and memorial service.

Lodge 66 was honored to attend the Illinois Police Memorial. Brother Joe Seychel read the gospel at the church.

We also supported the Lake County Police Memorial.

Happy Heavenly Birthday Brother! You are missed more than you could have imagined.

Today, we honor and remember Sergeant Rich Free *402. Today is his birthday, and as we in the department take a moment to reflect, we also want to share this day with you, as so many came together to support his family, friends and the department last year when his watch ended.

We will continue to remember Rich, and his legacy will live on for his family and friends to which we are sending extra love and strength to today.

Rich, your life of service, courage, and heart continues to inspire….
