Real conversations. Real accountability. Real growth.

Power Conversations is more than a men’s gathering. It’s a space where men come together to be challenged, encouraged, and sharpened in their faith, leadership, and purpose.

From honest discussions to shared experiences, every conversation is an opportunity to grow stronger, build meaningful relationships, and become the men God has called us to be.

At CHOSEN, we believe no man is meant to walk alone. We grow better when we grow together.

Sometimes things aren't as they seem. Just as being a cupbearer can be a dangerous with risky job. The cupbearer had to drink from the cup before the king. Because of the position, many would try to poison the king through the cup, putting the cupbearer at risk.

Think about the title: 𝗖𝘂𝗽𝗯𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗞𝗶𝗻𝗴. It sounds prestigious — a seat at the royal table, influence, trust, and authority. Who wouldn’t want that role?

But there’s more to the story.

In ancient times, being the king’s cupbearer was an incredibly risky job. This trusted official had a unique responsibility: they had to taste every drink before the king did — just in case it was poisoned.

Why? Poisoning was a real and constant threat in royal courts. Anyone with access — from cooks to servers to guards — could be plotting against the king. The cupbearer was both protector and potential victim, standing between the king and deadly danger.

Each sip could be a sacrifice

What seems like a position of luxury was actually a role demanding absolute loyalty, immense bravery, and a readiness to put one’s life on the line.

It’s a reminder that sometimes, our own roles may look simple or insignificant — but the truth is, they can carry hidden responsibilities and require great courage. Like Nehemiah, who faithfully served as cupbearer to King Artaxerxes, we’re often making a difference in ways no one else sees.

Never underestimate the value of your role — it may be right where you’re called to be.

🔥 What a word from Minister Anthony “Sleepy” Carter.

As we continue our Faith Needs a Circumstance series, we were reminded that before David ever wore a crown, he wore obedience.

Before the platform… there was the pasture.

Before the victory… there were quiet moments of faithfulness.

David wasn’t chasing the throne. He was following his Father’s instructions, trusting God’s timing, and being faithful with what was right in front of him.

Sometimes the greatest work God does in our lives happens behind the scenes.

Thank you, Sleepy, for reminding us that purpose isn’t found in the spotlight, it’s found in obedience.

Keep trusting.
Keep serving.
Keep waiting on God’s timing.

He’s preparing you for more. 🧡
